A chapter opens with derivation and reasoning. Shortcuts and standard tricks are introduced only after students can solve a problem the long way, so that an unfamiliar question in the examination hall does not break them.

Practice with supervision
Every concept class is followed by a supervised practice slot in which teachers walk the room, look at rough work and correct method errors on the spot.
